I'll have my Case-A-Diva supersized please.

This time the Diva Dare challange from Verve Stamps is to Case-A-Diva.  I chose to case Amy Sheffer's card titled  "Amazing Grace".  Amy's card is shown below:Amazing Grace by Amy Sheffer

You can see her delicate cross  with the beautiful saying.  But in my world I like to super size so my Case-a-Diva is supersized, as you can see by my card below:

I used the same layout as Amy but I just used a super sized cross.  I really had fun with this card.  I hope Amy likes my version.

I really can't tell you who made all the materials except for the stamp sentiment which is Verve's, Amazing Grace-Plain Jane.  The cross is a cross I cut off a card and have now found the perfect card for it to go on.  It sits atop a black and white poka dot paper and under that is a striped paper in turquoise.  I used a black and white ribbon.  The sentiment was stamped on white card stock and edged in CTMH's ink called Lagoon.

Mojo Sketch 202/On Sunny Days Life is Good

I am new at playing the sketch challanges.  But I have noticed that people take the liberty of changing things up so thats what I did on this one.  Instead of triangle banners I used clouds which goes with the sun.  Other than that I stuck to the sketch.

I used black card stock as my base card.  Then I layered white card sock then b/w poka dot paper.  The center panel is a yellow honey cone paper backed with a thin white border.  The sun is yellow poka dot paper that I glued to black card stock and cut out.  I used a scalloped sissor to make the edges decorative. The clouds are a soft muted blue and white.  I used soft greenish blue for the banners at the bottom and a sentiment sticker that says "life is good".

Better with a Friend

This card is still a standard size but is folded long ways.  Cut at 4 1/4 X 11; folded at 5 1/2.

Started with a bright blue card stock as my base for the card.   I cut a 3/4 " piece off the top flap at the bottom and added an olive strip of paper that I used a EK border punch to add the decorative border.  Rounded the bottom corners on back and front flaps.  Next I added a piece of olive paper which I also rounded the bottom corners.  The center decoration is a paper frame which I glued down then placed a flower in the center of the frame.  I stamped the sentiment below the frame and then add 2 corner brackets at the top.  A very simple card because all the elements were ready to go.

Note:  The frame, flower and corner brackets were all out the same package I purchased at Michaels some (long) time ago.  Sorry I can't tell you who it is by.

Birthday Wishes with Presents

I was given this stamp along with many others, so I don't know who manufactures the stamp but I have used it on tags and cards many times.

The base for this card is white card stock.  I used a strip of bright blue paper at the top and a strip of striped paper full of bright bold colors at the bottom of the card.  I stamped the present 3 times on scratch white paper, colored them and cut them out.  I put a blue ribbon in the center of the card and ran it horizontally.  Then a placed the presents across the card.   I put three rhinstones at the bottom right.  For the sentiment I punched out ascalloped oval (out of the striped paper_ and a smaller white oval which I stamped the sentiment on.  Glued those together and placed it slightly left of center, which completes the card.

Oops,  I almost forgot.  I used stickles to glitter each bow on the presents.

Thinking of You

I love this Tree stamp from Hero Arts.  The swirl of the limbs are so elegant.  For this card I randomly put gold beads in the limbs.  It was stamped with olive ink from CTMH.  I used a nestibillity die to cut it out and stenciled it with Versa Magic's sahsra sand.  For the card I used  an olive green card stock.  The first layer is beige cardstock topped with a poka dot paper.  I cut a striped piece of paper and placed it going vertically on the card.  I placed olive ribbon and a couple of corner brackets on the card and followed it by the sentiment   And of course, the last item to complete this card is the beautiful little tree.

Hello Friend

Once in a while I tone things down and will do a monocromatic card.  Well this was one of those times.  Sorry for the glare on the leaves but I couldn't get the glare off.

The card base is a medium brown and I added two patterned papers that have the exact  same colors. I used a decorative border punch at the bottom.  I put a ribbon  where the two papers come together.  I stamped out flowers onto velum and cut them put a brad in the center of each flower and popped them up on deminsionals.  Did the same on the leaves.  Stamped the sentiment.

Party Time

To make this card I started out with white card stock as my base.  I put a strip of striped paper on the lefthand side and covered the rest of the card with green paper.  I rounded the corners before adhereing it to the card stock.  I put a trim on the card that had all the colors of the striped paper . Next I stamped the little lanturns, colored and cut the out.  Popped them on deminsional and put them on a strip of white card stock with a blue trim on either side.  All that is left to do is PARTY.
